Pick Up & Drop Off

Pick up from your hotel between 6.00 - 6.30 am. Drop off in Chiang Mai between 4.00 - 5.00 pm.

Pick up and drop off from your hotel, meals, 2 liters of water, English-speaking guide, park fees, insurance, accommodation and necessary bedding, blankets etc.

Not Included

Extra snacks or soft drinks.

What to Bring

Wear shoes with grip suitable for trekking and climbing and pack a warm layer, mornings can be chilly at the summit. Bring toothbrush, toothpaste and any other necessities for an overnight stay.

Itinerary:

  • Day 1: Depart from your hotel between 6.00 – 6.30 am, drive approximately one and a half hours to Doi Luang National Park.
  • Stop at a local market along the journey to get supplies and take a restroom break.
  • Arrive at the starting point for the hike to the summit.
  • Trek approximately 4 to 5 hours to reach the peak. The trail to the peak is incredibly scenic with many picturesque views between the trees.
  • Reach the summit and experience the beauty of Chiang Dao, an incredible 230-250 million year-old limestone massif in the Daen Lao Range, which rises abruptly and impressively from the plains below where Chiang Dao town is located. Chiang Dao translates to the City of Stars, a reference to the high peaks and elevations in the immediate area.
  • Begin the 4 hour descent back down the mountainside through the rainforest enjoying the views and nature. Enjoy the trail through Keawlom which is rich in flower species.
  • Reach the trek end point and leave to arrive in Chiang Mai around 6.30 pm.
  • Drive to the hilltribe Homestay where you will spend the night.
  • Day 2: Have breakfast and then we will take a short 1 hour hike to neighbouring Palong hilltribe village.After exploring the village,we will drive to Chiang Dao Cave..
  • Once at Chiang Dao Cave, we will do the 30 minute cave exploration with a guide and lantern.
  • Have lunch and after lunch we will drive to the hotsprings, where we can spend 1 hour soaking up the mineral salts and healing our muscles from the hike to the summit. -Arriving back in Chiang Mai about 17.30
